Casio has just released a new Casio Exilim EX-FH25 superzoom camera that has a 20x optical zoom after releasing the Casio Exilim EX-FC150. The new Casio camera features a 10 MP CMOS sensor with a 3-inch LCD screen and an ISO range of 100-3200. The Exilim EX-FH25 camera is able to shoot at 40 frames per second in burst mode at a resolution of 3456 x 2,592 or at a 1000 frames per second in burst mode at a resolution of 224 x168. Canon will release the Casio Exilim EX-FH25 on November 27th, 2009 in Japan for $558.

Nikon today has unveiled the D3S professional DSLR, the camera that makes professional photographers able to control the unexpected and extends the possibilities for action photographers everywhere. Built upon the widely acclaimed Nikon D3, the Nikon D3S camera advances low light photography to another level and sets in motion new creative options for multi-media movie shooting.

The new Nikon model is an upgrade to the popular D3 and comes with 720p HD video recording and a sensitivity range up to ISO 102,400 for improved low light performance. Pictures are captured on a new 36 x 23.9 mm CMOS sensor and buffer size has been increased for 48 RAW frames in one burst. Further development includes a faster contrast detect AF in Live View and in-camera RAW-processing. Measuring 160 x 157 x 88 mm and weighing 1240 g, the body shape, quality and operation are virtually identical to the predecessor D3. Price (body only) is US$5199.95.

Panasonic released its two new 7.2 MP digital camera, the DMC-LZ6 and DMC-LZ7. They both have 6x zoom and optical image stabilization. They both also feature Panasonic’s Venus Engine III, which allows these cameras to handle dark and low light shots.

The Panasonic DMC-LZ7 is distinguished by a large, bright 2.5 inch LCD (2.0 inch for the Panasonic DMC-LZ6) for comfortable viewing while monitoring shots and playing back the results. The mixed pixel readout method used by the CCD automatically increases the brightness of the live image of the LCD, making it much easier to shoot in low lighting.

To further add to their appeal, the LZ7 and LZ6 feature the High Angle LCD function, which makes the LCD display extremely easy to view from below, for example, when holding the camera up high to take pictures over a crowd. Both cameras will be available next month. The DMC-LZ6 and DMC-LZ7 will cost $179 and $199 respectively.
